Current Activity Committees

At the present, the following activity committees operate in Oak Park under the authority of the Community Foundation:

  • Oak Park Community Garden  maintains an area composed of individual garden parcels which are rented to interested community members who desire to grow their own organic produce and/or flowers.

  • Oak Park Neighborhood School Parent Advisory Board supports the pre-school operated by the Oak Park Unified School District.  Under California law, the Oak Park Neighborhood School Parent Advisory Board is recognized as the equivalents of PTAs chartered by the California Congress of Parents, Teachers, and Students.

  • Oak Park Instrumental Music Association (OPIMA) promotes, supports, and enhances the education of the instrument music programs at the Oak Park High School and its feeder school, Meadea Creek Middle School.

  • Oak Park Performing Arts Alliance supports the visual and performing arts curricula and activities throughout the Oak Park Unified School District.

  • Friends of the Oak Park Library supports the operation of the Oak Park Library, a unique facility that is both a public library and a high school library.

  • Friends of the Oak Park Open Space cares for the natural resources land of Oak Park that are an integral part of the regional network of protected lands by connecting people to nature.

  • Oak Park Fire Safe Council reduces the risk of fire damage in Oak Park through risk assessment and education plus working with and supporting homeowners and firefighters.
